BECOME A DELEGATE

NOTE: This is a brief summary of delegate selections. Please consult Article 11, Section 4 of the PC Party Constitution for detailed explanations of the process. Any questions or if seeking clarification, inquiries can be directed to info@pcpartynl.ca.

Voting Delegates at an Annual General Meeting consist of the following:

Provincial Executive Council:

  1. All members of the Provincial Executive Council as outlined in Article 7.1 in the Constitution in good standing are automatic delegates at all annual general meetings, special meetings, and leadership conventions.

From Each District Association:

  1. President
  2. Vice-President
  3. Secretary
  4. Treasurer
  5. An executive member of the District Association elected by the District Executive (i.e. Often times a DA has a 2nd Vice President, Past-President, or other Director they elect to this post)
  6. Six (6) delegates elected at large at a public meeting where
    1. all delegates shall be residents of the provincial district for which they are elected
    2. Two (2) delegates are to be youth (30 and under)
      1. If a person becomes a delegate under this article by virtue of his or her office, then that person forfeits the youth delegate position and it is filled by a delegate at large elected at the meeting.

PC Women’s Association

  1. President
  2. Vice-President
  3. Secretary
  4. Treasurer
  5. The remaining at-large delegates (7) are chosen by random draw by the Executive of the P.C. Women’s Association from ballots received from the 40 District Associations.

Young Progressive Conservatives

  1. President; and
  2. Ten (10) executive members of YPC

PCMUN Campus Association

  1. President; and
  2. Ten (10) delegates elected at a public meeting
